Fermion is back with their follow up to 2019’s “We Are Nowhere” entitled “Elegiac”. It’s a heady trip through many genres, dark wave, ethereal electronic, and the spaces between. Whether it’s the heady, industrial influenced single “Colors Monochrome”, the chaotic beats and rhythms of “Splatter”, or the homage to the great band New Order with “Vanishing Point”, Eric Shans and Augustine Backer prove that they have honed their craft and the album is a shining example of this. Layered synthesizer riffs with beautifully composed melodies, thought provoking lyrics, and the love of all of things analog make these truly songs people need for the current times.
